By default, all comments are set to INTERNAL users only. If you would like to notify specific people or teams of your comment, then tag them. Admin users are able to toggle this setting on or off from the 'Account' tab in the 'Company Settings' menu, as seen below.
You can set comment visibility to any of the following users/groups by tagging people using the '@' symbol in the comment box followed by the name of the user, company, or group. Tagging users will send them a notification via email or in-app, depending on their notification settings.
General Submission Comments
From the 'Submissions' tab, click on the submission 'Comment' icon as shown below after scrolling to the right on the submission you'd like to comment on. The '2' means there are currently two comments on this 'Starship Hat' submission.
You will then be taken to the submissions detail page. From there, click on the 'Comments' section as shown below.
You will see a text box where you can freely type and post comments that are viewable to all parties whether you submit this submission or not. Once you click 'Add Comment' in the bottom right corner, users from both sides will be notified unless you edit the visibility of this comment.
To change the visibility of your comment and tag someone to receive a notification of this comment, type the "@" symbol, and a list of people and groups will appear, as shown below. For example, if you would like to find your approver group quickly, type '@approver' within the text box, and you will see the list be filtered and show you only your approver group.
For clarity, when you hover over "Visible to "X" people," a popup will appear with the names of who can see your comment.
You can format the text font and add bullet points if needed, as shown below. You can also select an attachment to upload with this comment by clicking the paperclip icon in the bottom-right corner of the text field.
Changing Comment Visibility
Changing your comment visibility is easy. Click on the blue "Change" text at the bottom of your comment and quickly add or remove people or groups from the comment.
