Submission Asset Versioning

With this new feature, you can upload new versions of an existing asset, make an asset version the current one to ensure collaborators are focused on the most relevant asset version, as well as delete an asset version that might be no longer needed or outdated.

You can see the current asset version on the image tile on the 'Submission Detail' page. Clicking on the three-dot menu icon that populates on the image tile will open a dropdown menu, where you can choose to upload a new version of this asset.

Clicking that option will open the file-picker, where you can select a new image to upload for this asset, instead. In this example, we changed the color and put the Starship logo on the front of the hoodie, instead. Note that it now says 'V2' to indicate that this is the second version of this asset.

Now that there are multiple versions of this asset, we can click on that three-dot icon again on the image tile, but this time choose 'Open version history.'

This will take you to the version history for this asset, where you can see every version submitted so far. Note that the current version will always be at the top.

You can also update the status of this individual asset directly from this screen! Just click on the status indicator in the top-right corner to open the same dropdown that's available when doing this action from the 'Submission Details' page.

There's also a three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner that will reveal more options once clicked:

  • Delete this asset

  • Download

  • Upload new version

  • Open version history (assuming it isn't already open in View or Comment mode).

Decide that you want to use the original version after all? No problem - just click on V1 and select 'Make current.'

Note that any pinpoint comments left on the different versions will also be visible while viewing that particular version.
