Migrating Commission Rates

--- BEFORE STARTING COMMISSION SHEET TAB ---

  • Commissions, add conditions, similar to royalty rates.

  • Make sure there is a corresponding contract number for each commission.

  • If a contract has different types of Commissions with conditional logic, each commission and condition should be on a separate line.

  • If a licensing contract has a different commission from the representation contract that is attached to the licensing contract, then add the separate commission here using licensing contract number as a reference.

Contract Number

  1. A unique identifier for each contract.

Commission (%)

  1. The commission percentage.

Condition Base (Calendar Year)

  1. Is this commission applied only if certain conditions are met - e.g. if the calendar year is 2017.

  2. Similar to the royalty condition, you would use 'Calendar Year' in this case. 

Condition (Equals, Is lower than, Is lower than or equal to, Is greater than, Is greater than or equal to)

  1.  Fill this only if you have a Condition Base. 

  2. Please use the available options provided above: Equals, Is lower than, Is lower than or equal to, Is greater than, Is greater than or equal to.

Condition amount 

  1. Fill this in only if you have a condition base.

Categories 

  1. List of categories that the commission applies to. 

  2. Leave this empty if the commission applies to all categories in this contract. 

  3. The category names provided have to be an exact match to category names within Brainbase including the parent category name(s) or to your custom category list. 

  4. Category Tree: Parent category followed by subcategories.

  5. Formatting: {Parent category} + ' > ' + {subcategory 1} + ' > ' + {subcategory 2} 

  6. Example: 'Apparel' > 'Socks,' 'Apparel' > 'Headwear' > 'Hats.'

Territories 

  1. Formatting: Separated by a comma with no spaces

  2. List the territories that this contract permits sales in

  3. For territory names, please use ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 codes found here:

  4. EX: 'USA,CAN,DEN,SWE.'
