Migrating Payments

--- BEFORE STARTING PAYMENTS SHEET TAB ---

 

  • Navigate to the sheet tab at the bottom of the excel titled "Payments"

  • Please make sure there is a corresponding contract number for each payment

  • The payment start date and end date is used to set the recouping period for that payment 

Contract Number

  1. The corresponding contract number that the payment belongs to from the contracts sheet tab.

Payment Name

  1. The unique identifier for this payment

  2. If the payment has multiple installments then enter the same name for each installment to link them together.

Payment Type (Advance, Guarantee, Flat Fee)

  1. Choose the payment from the options above: Advance, Guarantee, Flat Fee

Payment Amount

  1. What is the payment amount?  

  2. Example formatting: "25,000.00."

Amount Due Date

  1. What is the due date for the payment (mm/dd/yyyy)?

  2. Formatting: (mm/dd/yyyy)

Is Recoupable? (Yes/No)

  1. Enter either option: Yes/No

  2. Is the Advance or Guarantee payment credited towards future royalty rate payments? 

  3. Leave this empty is Flat Fee is selected as payment type 

Start Date

  1. What is the recouping start date for Advance or Guarantee payment (mm/dd/yyyy)? 

  2. Leave this empty if the Advance or Guarantee is recoupable throughout the whole contract duration

End Date

  1. What is the recouping end date for Advance or Guarantee payment (mm/dd/yyyy)? 

  2. Leave this empty if the Advance or Guarantee is recoupable throughout the whole contract duration

Categories

  1. List of categories that the payment applies to

  2. Leave this empty if the payment applies to all categories in this contract

  3. The category names provided have to be an exact match to category names within Brainbase including the parent category name(s)

  4. Category Tree: Parent category followed by Subcategories

  5. Formatting: Parent Category + '>' + Subcategory + ',' + Subcategory + ' 

  6. Example: 'Apparel > Socks, Apparel > Headwear > Hats.'

Territories, separated by a comma

  1. List of territories that the payment applies to

  2. Leave this empty if the payment applies to all territories in this contract

  3. For territory names, please use ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 codes listed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-1_alpha-3

  4. Formatting: Separated by commas with no spaces

  5. Example: "USA,CAN,DEN,SWE"

Distribution Channels, separated by a comma

  1. List of distribution channels that the payment applies to

  2. Leave this empty if the payment applies to all territories in this contract. 

  3. The distribution channel names provided have to be an exact match to distribution channel names within Brainbase including the parent channel name(s)

  4. Example: "Online, Retail."

Payment Comment

  1. Payment comment in a free form text
