Licensor Admin users have the ability to create and manage the submission stages used on their submission workflow templates. To learn about all submissions settings and how everything ties together, click here

Submission Stages Overview:

  • Stages allow you to create custom steps for each submission type. You can define the stages for each submission type using workflows.

  • Stages are the steps in the product development process that the licensee has to follow.

  • There can be different stages for different types of products (i.e. Physical Products vs. Digital Products).

How to access Submission Stages Settings in Brainbase:

Click your user icon image in the bottom-left corner, and then 'Submissions' under the 'COMPANY SETTINGS' header. From there, click 'Stages.' You'll find all stages (both default and custom) here.

How to Add a Submission Stage:

  1. Click the 'Add Stage' button in the top-right corner.

  2. Add the stage name and description.

  3. Click ‘Add Stage’ to confirm your work.

Default Stages within Brainbase:

1. Concept: The first default stage of a new submission that includes the concept design and description of a new product.

2. Pre-Production: The second default stage of a new submission that passed through the concept stage.

3. Production: The third default stage of a new submission for which the production has started.

4. Final: A final stage that closes the submission. Can’t be changed by users.
