Created by Francesco Ilardi, Modified on Mon, 1 May, 2023 at 9:30 PM by Francesco Ilardi

The Sales Report Overview section is split into ten sections. As a reminder, all sales reports are tied to a contract that was entered into Brainbase by a licensor/property owner or agent.

In Part 1, we will review the first four sections: Net Sales, Total Due, Advance, and Guarantees Recouping Progress.

You will see the following information on the top portion of the Sales Report Overview section:

  • Sale Report Period

  • Status of Sale Report

  • Licensee Name

  • Contract Name and Link to View

  • Sales Report Upload Date

Now let's breakdown each section highlighted below:

Net Sales

This section shows the total dollar amount of net sales and the number of units sold for this period. The bar chart shows the net sales for the previous period compared to the current period. This section also breaks down the net sales into gross sales, returns and discounts.

Total Due

This section shows the total dollar amount of royalties due to the licensor. The bar chart shows the royalties paid for the previous period compared to the current period. This section also breaks down the total royalties due into royalties earned, deductions, advance amount applied and the commission due to agent(s).

Advance Recouping Progress

This bar graph shows the advance recouping progress for the licensee. Use this graph to get an understanding of how much advance is left to recoup based on the contract. There is a link to the detailed 'Advances Report' on the bottom right of this section as well.

Guarantees Recouping Progress

This graph shows the guarantees recouping progress for the licensee. Use this graph to get an understanding of how much guarantees are left to recoup based on the contract. There is a link to the detailed 'Guarantees Recouped Report' on the bottom right of this section as well.
