How to Edit a Contract

Editing a contract is easy and can be done from the 'Contracts' tab. Start by selecting the contract that needs to be edited. In this example, we chose the 'Advanced Robotics Licensing Contract.' Note that only users with the appropriate permissions will be able to edit a contract.

Once you've selected the contract, you'll be taken to the 'Contract Details' page, which displays the pertinent details of the contract agreement.

From there, click on the three-dot icon in the top-right corner to open the drop-down menu. Select 'Edit.'

You'll then see the 'Edit Contract' page. There are three sections that can be edited: Parties, Terms, and Documents.

The 'Edit' button can be found at the top-right corner of each of these sections, as shown below.

Make sure to click on 'Save' at the bottom of each section to save your work.

As you scroll down, you will see 'Edit Terms.' Click on this button to edit the terms of this contract.

Once you click 'Edit terms', a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm. Depending on which information is updated, editing the contract terms may remove previously uploaded sales reports or require them to be recalculated, as those reports and calculations were tied to the original contract terms. This guide outlines what terms can or cannot be updated without prompting a recalculation or re-upload.

You can also consider adding a contract amendment instead. To learn more about this feature, click here

Make sure to click on 'Save' at the bottom of this section to save your work.

At the bottom of the page, you will see 'Edit Documents.' Click on this button to add or delete any relevant documents for this contract. Once again, make sure to click on 'Save' at the bottom of this section to save your work.

Once everything is finalized, make sure to scroll to the top of the page and click on 'Update Contract' to save all of your edits.
