Saving Contract Templates

Creating contracts with your most-frequent collaborators is easy - just utilize our 'Save a Template' feature when adding the involved parties, contract terms, or both.

To start, navigate to the 'Contracts' tab, and then click on 'Add Contract' in the top-right corner.

Once you've chosen between either an 'Inbound Contract' or an 'Outbound Contract,' you'll be prompted to select a template to use.

Since we don't have a saved template to choose from, yet, we'll use the 'Standard Licensing Contract' template, then click the 'Next' button to proceed.

You'll then be taken to the next 'Add a Contract' screen. You can then click on 'Add Parties' and/or 'Contract Terms' to enter the data you'd like to use in a template.

In this example, we chose to template the 'Add Parties' section, but you're welcome to complete both fields if you want that data included in the template, as well.

Once you've filled out the required fields in the section you're in, click 'Save' at the bottom of the section, then on the 'Save as Template' button in the top-right corner. This will template the data you've entered in the 'Add Parties' section so you can use it again later.

You'll then be prompted to give this template a name - make sure to click the blue 'Save' button after you've done so.

A green notice will flash across the top of the screen letting you know that the template was successfully saved.

Now, the next time you start creating a new contract, you'll be able to choose this contract template from the dropdown menu. If you need to delete the template, just hover your mouse over it from this menu and click on the 'Delete' icon to the right.
