Creative Tools is a new tool designed to enhance your experience working with digital assets in Brainbase. With its user-friendly interface and powerful features, Creative Tools makes it easier to create, edit, and share your projects with your collaborators.

Creative Tools provides a new range of preview controls that allow you to better navigate, view, and annotate assets within your submissions.

The key information about your assets will be displayed differently as you work on your image in full-screen mode. The image name will be displayed in the header as the main title and will be followed by the image version number. This will allow you to easily keep track of different versions of the same image.

The file name will be displayed under the image name as a subtitle, and a file-type icon will be visible as a thumbnail next to the image name.

If your submission has more than one image, simply use the pagination tool (left and right arrow keys)  in the header to better navigate through your assets. 

The new zoom controls in Creative Tools allow users to easily zoom in and out of an image preview. By default, an image is always scaled to fit the screen, but you are free to choose the image size that works for you! The zoom controls include +/- buttons at the top of the page and keyboard shortcuts that allow you to zoom in up to 400%. This gives you plenty of control over how much you want to zoom in or out.

Additionally, you can now use the  "Zoom to fit" button to quickly zoom the image back to fit the screen. This can be useful if you happen to zoom in too far and want to promptly get back to the default view.

The zoom controls also include a dropdown menu with more options and keyboard shortcuts. Simply access the menu by clicking on the zoom percentage to zoom to a specific size or learn convenient keyboard shortcuts. These additional options provide you with even more flexibility!

With Creative Tools, we introduced a better way to annotate your images. The new move and comment modes make it easier for you to navigate and annotate images. By default, the move tool is active, which allows you to grab the image on clicks and navigate it by simply dragging it.

If you want to leave comments on the image, you can select the comment tool from the toolbar. 

This will activate the comment mode, allowing you to click anywhere on the image to leave a pinned comment. You’ll notice that the comment tool is highlighted and your cursor is in the shape of a comment box now.

When you click on the image, the comment editor will open next to the marker allowing you to enter your comment.

Once a comment has been added, it will appear in the new comment sidebar (see below), where users can easily view and manage all of the comments on the image.  When a new comment is entered, the comment tool will be automatically disabled, the comment tool button will lose its highlight, and the cursor will switch back to the move tool. This allows you to easily switch between the move and comment modes as needed.

The new comment sidebar in Creative Tools allows users to view and navigate image comments easily. Comments are displayed on the sidebar, which is located on the right-hand side of the screen and is visible by default.

With that said, don’t forget that you are in control! You can decide whether or not you want to have the comment sidebar visible on the screen by using the toggle tool in the header toolbar. And it gets even better! The system will remember your most recent settings, which will be there the next time you open the image. 

When you click on a comment on the sidebar, the corresponding annotation on the image is highlighted., and the screen will navigate to the clicked comment, leaving the marker in the center of the image preview. 

Overall, the comment sidebar in Creative Tools provides a convenient and user-friendly way to view and interact with image comments.

With this update, you can now easily search for comments on your images by user, keyword, or both. Simply type your search query into the search field in the comments sidebar, and the comment threads that match your input will be displayed.

This search function looks for matches in the entire comment thread, including both the main comment and any replies. So, whether you're looking for a specific user's comments or comments containing a certain keyword, the search feature has you covered.

And when you open a single comment thread, the search results will remain as they were before, so you can easily return to your search results after reading a particular comment. Plus, you can clear the search field at any time using the "X" button in the field.
